At least three policemen and one protestor have been injured in skirmishes at Drumcree where tensions have risen in a stand-off with Protestant Orange Order marchers.
A small group of protesters has breached barbed wire barricades while riot police stood their ground behind a second row of barbed wire.
Police reinforcements arrived on Thursday to the scene of the stand off between the Orangemen and British soldiers in Drumcree.
But, the Orangemen's numbers also increased with support coming from both Belfast and other towns in Northern Ireland.
Numbers of protestors are estimated at more than 10-thousand.
The fields around Drumcree Anglican Church are packed with Orangemen and protestors loyal to Britain who had earlier been entertained by marching bands.
Eventually protestors broke through one of the barbed wire fences and continued their celebration between the fences.
The protestors marched up and down, shot fireworks and played their instruments.
Police made no movements towards the protestors despite apparent acts to antagonising them.
One or two missiles were thrown as the group gestured towards the large crowd of onlookers and encouraged them to follow.
One protestor and three policemen were injured but the injuries weren't believed to be serious.
Police reinforcements continued to arrive but by midnight most of the demonstrators had moved back behind the first line of barbed wire.
