Nepal’s 7th Customs Reform Strategy: Prioritizing Trade and Public Safety

Finance Minister Rameshwar Khanal emphasizes the need for a robust 7th Customs Reform Strategy to minimize the entry of harmful and restricted goods into Nepal. Highlighting the balance between trade facilitation and social security, the Minister called for enhanced cooperation with the private sector, investment in administrative capacity building, and a transition toward a production-based economy to ensure long-term economic stability and public health safety for the Nepalese people.
