Dr. Bryan Acheampong Empowers Artisans in Kwahu with Tools and Financial Support.
Dr. Bryan Acheampong, the Minister of Agriculture and Member of Parliament for the Abetifi Constituency, has once again demonstrated his commitment to empowering artisans in his constituency. At the fourth edition of his skill development initiative, held at Kwahu Tafo, he donated sewing machines, hairdryers, and a seed capital of 3,000 cedis each to 155 seamstress and hairdresser graduates. Additionally, he provided 150,000 cedis to their trainers as a token of appreciation for their mentorship.
This year’s event marked significant growth in the initiative, which started with 30 graduates in its first edition, expanded to 50 in the second, and 86 in the third, culminating in an impressive 155 graduates this time. The initiative, valued at over 850,000 cedis for this edition, aims to support individuals unable to pursue formal education but eager to acquire vocational skills.
During the ceremony, Dr. Acheampong highlighted ongoing development projects in the constituency, including road construction, improved electricity supply, and the much-anticipated Kwahu Airport project, which is currently under development.
He also took the opportunity to appeal to his constituents to support his bid for re-election and to vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming elections. He assured the people of continued progress and transformative leadership to propel Kwahu forward.
This initiative underscores Dr. Acheampong’s dedication to creating sustainable livelihoods and fostering growth in the Abetifi Constituency.
