Disney finally seems to be listening and putting out original and good movies according to audiences, however, it seems like it's too late for Disney. Even though new films are coming out, they seem to be struggling at the box office and not making nearly as much money as other movies and franchises have. People seem to have lost all faith in Disney, and for some people, the movie industry in general. Is it hypocritical that people ask for new stories but don't show up to watch them? Yes. Is it justified that they no longer want to partake in Disney's films? Also yes. At least I think so. Disney will have to slowly build people's trust in them again, and I think they're at least on the right track of doing that.
