Quickly made this on my dad's PC since every other computer and laptop I have is currently fucked. Plus I felt like giving yall at least one more thing to close out this shitty year.
Yeahhh in case it wasn't obvious, 2024 for me in particular has been one of the worst years of my life. Bar none. YTP-wise it's been pretty good (especially since the channel's turned 10 this year), but the same can't be said for everything else beside it.

So uhhh... storytime I guess:

Back in March, I bought a Beelink Mini PC off of Amazon (which runs Windows 11) to help out with Treehouse 4's production and other stuff. And for the first half of the year I had it, it was great (aside from Microsoft's bullshit). That was until August came around...

While I was editing, I started getting glitches and all sorts of other tech problems with the fuckin thing. Possibly due to cockroaches crawing inside everything as our house has been infested with them for a good while now. I briefly moved it out of the office, hooked the sucker up to my room's TV (as I thought it was an issue with just the office monitor), and the problems just kinda stopped. Things resumed normally again (mostly) and I was able to release a few more poops with it (Twitter shitposts, the Hoops&Yoyo b-day thing, Free Birds entry, and some TOH4-related stuff). But that was shortlived once December came around and the Mini PC started having issues again. This time it was with the video, but much worse than before. It starts off with it functioning normally, only to then suddenly cut to a black screen, reset, and then the entire video signal goes out (or it just resets back to the loading and login screens; working normally again only for the process to repeat everytime).

That was painful enough, but to make matters 10x worse than they were already, just a few days ago... my Surface Pro 3 (which has been my art/secondary YTP laptop since 2021) ALSO decided to fuck out on me in the form of being stuck on Windows 10's recovery error screen.
Doubling the amount of devices that need to be repaired. It's like I'm just getting severe bad luck with tech all of a sudden (probably from me losing my Windows 7 laptop in 2022). The worst part is that I'm not really a tech guy who knows how to fix shit like this (I know. I'm stupid.). Plus my parents are in severe poverty and they can't even afford another new computer because they don't have jobs (well, technically my mom has one at a dollar store, but still). So yeah... I'm pretty much fucked lol. Some of this was already posted on my TwiXter and Bluesky (along with a brief and embarrassing constipation arc during the day I went to see Garfield Pratt The Movie), but I thought I'd explain the full story here. In short, fuck 2024.

Also in case anyone asks, no this doesn't mean I'll continue making any new poops yet just because my dad's PC is there. Blender doesn't run well on it and Vegas has an issue with the color hue effect for some reason. Plus due to severe motivation loss and burnout on top of the tech issues and setbacks, I've just been needing a break from it all. Sooo starting in 2025, I'm gonna be taking a hiatus from YTP until further notice (and when or IF I ever get another new computer to continue making stuff again).
