I drive old cars, BUT this tops them all!!! 1923 Steam Powered Stanley

Описание: We met our Model A friends from Sacramento A’s at the California Automobile Museum for a private tour, I hear the tour was amazing…however, when we got on the campus I saw a group of guys getting ready to move a 1923 Stanley Steamer model 740 outside, they had been working on it for months, so at last after years of not driving, this was the day they planned on getting it started and driving, because the plan for that day was so that the owner, 92 yr old Mack Carter could drive it after years!
The moment they started turning valves everywhere, hand pumping handles, hooking water up to the front, reading dials everywhere…I was extremely intrigued and had to see it through, I had to know all the details of how they would get this steam driven car to start and drive!
I’m so grateful for the team of guys who welcomed me into their circle, they could so my excitement and complete interest in every little thing they were doing and made me part of Team Steam!
This is one of the most amazing adventures I’ve been on in a while!
I not only got to be a passenger filming the owner, Mack, drive but then they had me drive!
I also had the honor and privilege of interviewing Mack, he answered a lot of great questions, gave a lot of interesting information and we even had a few laughs, he’s got a great sense of humor and he’s very intelligent!
