First Day of (F)/(M) swap

In September of 2025, the MTA proposed a permanent swap between the (F) & (M) trains on their crosstown lines in Manhattan & Queens to reduce delays & interlining at Queens Plaza.
On Weekdays, The (M) runs via the 63rd St line instead of the (F) while the (F) train runs via the 53rd St line with the (E) train instead of the (M).
On Weekends, the (M) train stays the same, running between Metropolitan Av-Midde Village & Essex St while the (F) goes back to running via the 63rd St line (Weekends Only).
Today (12/8/25) marks the first official day of the (F)/(M) swap being put into full effect.
