Описание: Jukka-Pekka Saraste and the Philharmonia Zürich perform Frank Martin’s exciting Concerto for seven wind instruments, timpani, percussion, and string orchestra. The concert took place in the World Conference Center Bonn in the year 2019.

Above all, Frank Martin wanted to bring out the qualities of the orchestra's various wind soloists and their virtuosity in his concerto. He did that successfully. The tone is rich, with much color and brilliance. A folk melody is used in the dance-like finale.

The Concerto for seven wind instruments has proved to be one of Martin’s most enduring works, having been recorded several times since its premiere at Bern in the year 1949.
