From the moment I checked in, the efficiency of the process stood out, though the staff could have been more welcoming. The Japanese-style room was spacious, featuring a separate toilet and shower area, alongside a comfortable living space with amenities like a Sony TV and a mini-fridge stocked with Japanese green tea.

The room has a clear sight of Lake Kawaguchiko, and though Mount Fuji was obscured by clouds during my stay, I could imagine its majestic presence on clearer days. The hotel's facilities, including a souvenir shop and a restaurant on the fifth floor, offered convenience, though I didn't get a chance to explore the public open bath.

While the room's furnishings appeared dated, they didn't detract from the overall experience. The location, approximately 1.7 kilometers from Kawaguchiko Station, made it accessible yet slightly removed from the bustling town center, ideal for those seeking tranquility with easy access to local attractions.

In summary, Mifujien Ryokan provided a comfortable stay with a picturesque view, though improvements in staff warmth and room upkeep could enhance the experience further. Despite these minor drawbacks, it remains a solid choice for travelers wanting to soak in the beauty of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko.
