Crazy CBR600RR powered RZR 800 that I built and owned from 09-18

Описание: I have been on youtube a long time, but have been reluctant to post videos, I would like to post this introductory video with a project that I built between 2010 and 2015 (yes I was slow, running into roadblocks and figuring out ways around them as a first project that I really documented to any degree). I built this RZR back when 100 hp in a UTV was almost unheard of. The suspension was a hodge-podge of SuperATV a-arms and FOA Shocks which I tuned myself. The engine was out of a 2003-2006 CBR 600RR (2007 Gauge cluster with a custom gauge pod) and tied into the OEM RZR transmission, originally with a custom set of 520 sprockets and chain and eventually settling on a 2" wide gilmer belt (think NHRA blower belt). It was shifted with a custom paddle-shifter that I built, which connected to the CBR transmission via a morse cable and you would use a third pedal mainly to stop and go, clutchless shifting otherwise. I custom built the intake manifold so the intake and fueling system stayed below the bed. In doing so, I ran into a problem with the fueling. Depending on what the fuel pressure was set at, it would either run well on the bottom end or top end and fall flat on its face on the opposite spectrum. I believe the issue was that by building the intake runners so long, which spaced out the throttle body which is normally mounted directly on the head, making it favor a low-end torque. I solved that problem with a Power Commander V with the auto-tune setup and was able to make it run well throughout the RPM range. The exhaust is also of my own design. I fabricated my own stainless 4-2-1 system with swage joints and springs holding everything together. Initially I had it flow into a GYT-R muffler that proved to be extremely loud and I eventually settled on this Supertrapp muffler. The last piece of the puzzle was building a cage out of .095 DOM tubing. I designed it on a program called Bend-Tech and it was actually relatively easy to learn the software well enough to design and build the cage. It was made out of 1.75 and 1.25 DOM which I TIG welded as well. I still kick myself for selling this machine, but life went in a different direction and I lost interest in it, it was mainly just taking up space. I'm sure I missed a lot of the build, but I wanted to keep it low and I tried to bring the weight out to the ends of the car to keep it more stable and less likely to swap ends when getting western. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video. It was taken in 2018 when I was selling the machine. (forgive the vertical orientation).
