Описание: It is believed that the name Woolwich means 'port from which wool was shipped' when traced back to the Anglo Saxon era. From then, Woolwich's modern history has been one of great importance to the rest of Britain but commonly unknown. Frances Ward, a historian at the Greenwich Heritage Centre and local resident Lynne Pike take a trip back over half a millennium. The opening music was composed in the 1500s by local musician, Thomas Tallis.
