Nepal President Ram Chandra Paudel on Tuesday urged protesters, citizens, and political parties to seek a peaceful resolution to Nepal’s crisis. In a statement, he appealed for restraint and dialogue, stressing that democratic demands — including those raised by young demonstrators — can be addressed through discussion. The Nepal Army and senior security officials also called for calm, pledging to safeguard sovereignty and citizens’ lives. Meanwhile, protesters defied curfews, torching vehicles, schools, and the homes of ministers and former prime ministers Sher Bahadur Deuba and Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
