CRZ159 | 八百津のダムに沈む絶界の酷道！「R418旧道」の勇姿に敬意を表して。日本に1橋しかない特殊構造の「旅足橋」に心を奪われる朝。

PSFのアフターツーリングとして、ソロで1日走って東京へ帰ろうと思います。美濃加茂の「R9 The yard」を経ち、いつ走っても素晴らしい道との出会いが待っている岐阜の県道群を堪能し続けます。

午前中のメインの目的は「いづれダムに沈み走れなくなる国道418号線・旧道」を走りにゆくことです。新丸山ダム建設地の一部から旧道にアクセスし、木曽川の流れに沿う絶界の古道の壮観な景色に声を失います。水に沈むのが惜しくてたまらない素晴らしい、世界で現存2橋という特殊な「下路型単径間補剛トラス吊橋」構造を持った橋を渡り、現状の道の果てとなる「湯谷橋ゲート」に到着し目的を果たします。

その後は八百津の農免農道や見行山へ登る県道を楽しみ、集落へ降りたところで休憩をすることにしました。次週の後半に続く最高のロードトリップの午前中の様子、心ゆくまでお楽しみください。

As an after-touring activity for PSF2025, I plan to ride solo for a day and return to Tokyo. I will depart from “R9 The Yard” in Minokamo city and continue to enjoy the wonderful roads of Gifu Prefecture, where I can always find amazing routes to explore.

The main goal for the morning is to drive the old National Route 418, which will eventually be submerged by the New-Maruyama Dam and become impassable. Accessing the old road from part of the construction site of the New-Maruyama Dam, I am left speechless by the breathtaking views of the ancient road following the flow of the Kiso River. Crossing the remarkable bridge with its unique “lower-deck single-span truss suspension bridge” structure—one of only two such bridges remaining in the world—I arrive at the “Yuya Bridge Gate,” the end of the current road, and fulfill my objective.

After that, I enjoyed the agricultural roads of Yaotsu and the prefectural road leading to Mt.Kengyozan, and decided to take a break once I descended into the village. Please enjoy the morning of this incredible road trip, which continues into the latter half of next week, to your heart's content.
