The Battle of Hornshole in 1514 saw a group of Hawick youths defeat an English raiding party and capture their standard.
In 2014 it was the 500th anniversary of the historical battle and hundreds of children from Hawick and the surrounding gathered to re-enact the Battle of Hornshole.
The re-enactment was part of Hawick's Vision 2014 project, the final part of a four-year community initiative based around "raising the ambitions and aspirations" of young people in the area.
