When filming for my walking channel Walk The World Away I drive through some interesting and beautiful scenery along the way. In this episode of Scenic Drives we take a short drive from Bolton Abbey to Kilnsey in the Yorkshire Dales, England.

After a beautiful walk through the Bolton Abbey estate by the river and through Strid Wood to the stunning ruins of the ancient priory, we set off from the car park at around 6:40 pm with the sun slowly going down over the Dales landscape. The drive through the shaded roads appears atmospheric and moody for the most part, but be patient, the light does shine through, and look out for the rainbow 🌈

This series is accompanied by original music. Some driving videos include the sounds of the car but as I always listen to music when driving I decided to include some here too.

My walking videos are focussed on the sounds of nature and the surrounding environment but I don't see the value in including road and traffic sounds. Of course, if the music is not your cup of tea please feel free to turn the sound down and choose your own playlist.

Hippy Goats is an experimental, improvisational and spontaneous one-take-only music experience. We walk in to the studio, we play what comes out in the moment and we leave. With everything set up to record from the moment I sit down on the stool, I simply pick up my drumsticks and play. It's a very therapeutic and cathartic experience folks. which I really hope you enjoy.

The relaxing walks are my number one priority in this channel, so don't worry if that's what you came here for as there are plenty more lovely walks in the pipeline.
