He has interviewed top political figures including New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, former Vice President Dick Cheney, then President George W. Bush, then Defense Secretary Robert Gates, Senate Majority Leader John Thune, and Senators Mark Warner and Chris Van Hollen. Emanuel received his BA in communication from Rutgers University. Emanuel was honored to join the Rutgers Hall of Distinguished Alumni in 2024.
