💡 Did you know that the 3 most common gait abnormalities can be improved by strengthening your hips and knees?!
Hear me out…
When you have any of these 3 walking patterns:
1️⃣ Hip swinging
2️⃣ Hip drop
3️⃣ Hip hike
It’s most often due to weakness in your hip flexors &/or hamstrings (aka: bending your hip and bending your knee).
Meaning… if you prioritize at least 1-2 hip bending & knee bending exercises daily 🦵 (up to 5 days/wk) you’re more likely to see improvements!!
If it’s too challenging (because… helloooo 👋, the reason I’m walking that way is because it’s too hard for me to do those movements), then modify 💃!!
Modify by changing the position you’re in or the location or by doing fewer reps!
✅ When your hips and knees gain strength, it automatically helps the quality of your walking!
