Описание: The Hennocque underground quarry, located in the town of Méry-sur-Oise was occupied by the German army during the Second World War. The aim was to build part of the quarry in the A4-V2 rocket storage base. In this video, i go and have a look what the nazis where up to, in this quarry. Nothing much left of anything inside the quarry now , except the reminance of concrete, installed by organisation Todt( the nazis main builders) , if finished off, this facility would have held over 600 (A4) V2 rockets, ready for shipping out to a rocket launching site in the Pas de Calais Area.
During the Second World War, the Germans developed a long-range rocket named A4
( V2). The works, which took place in the base of "Peenemünde", took place over more than 10 years (1930 to 1942). The first conclusive flight test took place on October 30, 1942.
The A4 rocket is very large because its length is 14.5 m, for 1.80 m in diameter and a total weight of 14 tons, including 910 Kg of explosive. The engine is subdivided into two compartments respectively containing liquid Oxygen and a mixture of alcohol and water. This rocket had a range of over 200 miles 321 km, for an accuracy of 5 miles 8 km.
