Fatigue Meets Watts | New Year Tour

Описание: After pushing right to the edge on Stage 2, we’re back at it for Stage 3 of the New Year Tour — this time on the demanding Watts of the Wild route.

Yesterday’s race came down to the Epic KOM, the great filter of the day. With the group climbing well north of 5 w/kg, I made the call to back it down, ride my own pace, and play the long game. A patient 10-minute chase brought me back to a small group, and after a hard, tactical ride to the line, it all came down to a sprint — finishing 10th out of 20 after a true limit test.

Today offers no such simplicity.

🗺️ Stage 3 – Watts of the Wild

This route throws everything at you:
• Downtown Watopia and the Esses
• JWB Sprint Reverse
• Italian Villas
• Dirty Sorpressa (friendly direction… thankfully)
• Ocean Boulevard tunnel and Fuego Flats sprint
• Titans Grove KOM
• Jarvis Circuit KOM + Sprint combo
• A final sting via the Sorpressa back toward the Marina

It’s a rolling, relentless course that rewards smart pacing, positioning, and survival instincts — especially with tired legs already in the mix.
