Chakhesang tribe of Nagaland, Northeast India celebrates its premiere festival called #Tsükhenyie . The #festival marks the successful harvest year and a time to rejoice and rejuvenate. People celebrate and pray for a successful year ahead.

The four day long Tsükhenyie festival cum platinum jubilee celebration of Pfutseromi Youth Organization was held under the theme “Progressing with gratitude and reflection.” 

The event is being held at Pfutseromi Village Local Ground in Phek district. It will continue till April 27.

The #Pfutseromi Youth Organization Platinum jubilee monolith was unveiled by K.G. Kenye, Minister for Power & Parliamentary Affairs, Nagaland. Later, he also dedicated the newly constructed Rostrum and released Pfutseromi Youth Organization platinum jubilee monolith jubilee souvenir.

Gracing the occasion as the special guest, the Minister said attaining 75 years is a momentous milestone and it is a time to retrospect and introspect the past achievement and challenges faced by the organization over the years.

He challenged the youth to set higher goals and collectively strive to bring progress and prosperity.

He also expressed deep concern over many issues confronting the present society and called upon the people to come forward and be a peacemaker.

Also addressing the celebration as the guest of honour, Member of Legislative Assembly Doctor Neisatuo Mero acknowledged the Pfutseromi Youth Organization pioneers for their futuristic vision and also the present team for their commendable work in making the celebration a grand success.

Pfutseromi Youth Organization president Kope Mero said “ Seventy- five years ago, a group of passionate and visionary young individuals came together with a common purpose- to empower, uplift and inspite the youth of our community. Today, as we reflect on the remarkable journey that has unfolded since then, we are filled with profound gratitude for all those who have contributed to the success of our Organization.”

Pfutseromi Village Council chairman Lhiwepelo Ritse also shared greetings.

Platinum jubilee choir, Pfutseromi Women Society, Porba Youth Organization and Sakraba Youth Organization presented folk tunes.
