Making Rose Oil at Home with Hydro-Distillation

Описание: Today we will be making a rose oil, that should be able to be used in bath products as a scent oil. I will use the method of hydro distillation to pull the scent and color of the roses, then refine them further.
The main terpene that makes up this oil is geraniol.

In the future I plan to make a video that removes the water with a organic solvent instead of letting the oil separate. This way we can possibly do an actual NMR and see if we can match the rose oil.
