Hari Om. My name is Venkat and I am an Alumni of Bal Vihar, Mumbai.

Please allow me to share with you my thoughts about Bal Vihar.

In today's challenging times, our children have too many choices and too many distractions. So providing them a cultural identity, a sense of purpose and a moral compass will really be helpful.

Since 1975 Chinmaya Mission, Hong Kong, through Bal Vihar classes, has endeavoured to instill in children, principles of cultural identity and moral values.

Attending Bal Vihar Classes is much more than taking religious studies.

In a child's formative years, by familiarizing him/her with stories from Hindu Scriptures and Indian Mythology, we sow in them seeds of good values and morals.

By teaching them and encouraging them to chant Mantras including the Holy Bhagavad Gita, their learning skills, overall memory and concentration are improved.

Subconsciously, your child (in a fun manner) will learn life lessons and interpersonal skills, which will lay the foundation towards making them model citizens of the Global Family. (Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam).

The monthly cost of being part of Bal Vihar or Shishu Vihar is less than that of a lunch box but, the benefits will be immeasurable.
