A talk by Alayo Akinkugbe and Anastasia Kolomiets focusing on works by four Black feminist artists in the New Hall Art Collection. The artists discussed are Lubaina Himid, Maud Sulter, Emma Amos and Faith Ringgold. Initially the first speaker had their microphone on mute so we advise watching the video with subtitles - sound starts after 6 seconds.
Video correction: British Black Arts Movement began during the 1980s not 1960s.
