This is a must-do ultra length day trip that is pretty simple for runners with the fitness to knock off a 50 mile day. The weather we got was rather extreme, which certainly affected the trip. We also managed to have a great time seeing several snakes on the trail, including a rattlesnake and a gopher snake. Please NOTE: it is illegal to touch snakes in the Grand Canyon. Also, it can be dangerous.
