In applied behaviour analysis, or ABA, reinforcers are used to increase the occurrence of a specific behaviour or response. Typically, ABA practitioners use positive reinforcement to increase the occurrence of behaviours and responses, usually by adding something pleasant or as a reward.
As parents, you too can use reinforcers to get your child to behave appropriately at home or in different external settings.
