I Tried Baking Gingerbread Recipes from 1887: Cozy Historical Baking Vlog

Описание: Let's dive into The White House Cookbook, first published in 1887 by F.L Gillette and Hugo Ziemann. This book boasts more than 500 recipes, and they are some of the best historical bakes that I have tried. I made the Soft Gingerbread Cake and Hard Gingerbread from the "Cakes" chapter. Both recipes turned out delicious! The cake is soft and moist with the help of beaten egg whites, and the hard gingerbread is very similar to our modern gingerbread cookies.
