Disclaimer: Editing in progress I am new to this
So its been a few days since the last update, the large plants are continuing to have poor after-effects after giving them too much nutrients, it does seem that new growth was promoted but flowering has slowed down quite a bit and the plants are looking less healthy. Definitely less is more is the key when growing peppers in CoCo Coir.
Note- In the video I mentioned giving these fish emulsion, that is incorrect, the nutrient dose I was referring too was just Tigerbloom + Calmag and ALOT of it. It definitely damaged the plants and set them back.
I have the next gen of Carolina Reapers in CoCo coming up soon, and those will not get more than 5ml fertilizer their entire lifespan.
The new starts in soil are looking VERY NICE. The only external nutrients I have given them was 1ml Tigerbloom+1ml Calmag per gallon, and used that to bottom feed on 3/30 (first time giving nutes). These plants are bottom watered about once a week and I spray a little water each day to keep the top soil moist. The plants are 2 months old and have not yet shown any signs of underwatering with this regime. They are beginning to start root bound so they must be transplanted around this time or risk stunting growth.
Last waterings:
BrokenLeg (not shown in this vid): 3/27 (Needs water today 4/4)
Treetrunk, Lilbro, Bonsai, Hydra: 3/29
Small starts: 3/30 (Fertilized with 1ml Tigerbloom+1ml Calmag per gallon water)
ps-hydra looks like a beast. an absolute unit. a freak of nature.
