Onbrill sent me this Side Table dog crate to review. This one is the medium 38x27 size. Our 15lb dachshund mix probably would have been fine in the small size, but she was borderline too big for that one. She seems happy with the extra space.

It took me about an hour to put together, with just a little help. There are really only 6 panels and a little bit of hardware and it all went together easily.

The finished product really looks great. I love that the engineered wood on the top and bottom is so heavy-duty. This doesn’t feel like a cheap piece of furniture. The black metal is very classy looking and really makes this feel more like a piece of furniture than a dog kennel.

But it’s also really nice kennel. We eased our pup into checking it out by putting a little food inside. Once inside she seemed pretty happy. I love that there’s a door in front, but you can also open the top, to ease them into a new kennel or say hi without taking them all the way out.

There are these simple flip locks (which are more than enough for our little dog), or there are these extra circle locks if you need more security for a bigger or more clever dog.

I can see this working as a side table in the family room or entry or a nightstand in the bedroom (which is probably where we’ll use ours). It’s a really versatile piece.

I’m really excited about this piece and all the flexibility it offers without having to have our ugly travel kennel out all the time. I really like this. I hope you will too.
