A second-hand 1980s Jaybeam Parabeam Quagi (quad yagi) being refurbished ready for use.
The ferrites used in this project are:
Fair-Rite Type 61 (part: 2661626402) which has a 10.15mm (+/-) inner diameter and gives a minimum of 370 Ohms impedance at 500MHz.
The larger 12.8mm inner diameter version is part: 2661102002 and is rated 380 Ohms minimum at 500MHz.
I will try and produce a follow-up video showing this antenna in use!
Tip #1 - Check second-hand equipment before using, if possible.
Tip #2 - You can sand coax outer sheath a little to get tight ferrite cores to fit.
