Chairman NDMA Lt General Muhammad Afzal on Tuesday addressed a press conference and said that the NDMA was already providing medicines, food items and tents, which were in their stock there, to the victims.
He said the AJK Disaster Management Authority teams were the first to reach the affected the areas while teams of other rescue institutions, engineers of Pakistan Army and NDMA, had also arrived there to take part in the rescue operation.
Chairman said that the authority was trying its level best to provide all the required items to the affected people as soon as possible so that nobody could face any difficulty. Rain was expected during the next two days, which might add to their problems.
