Fifteen years ago, Emma’s children were toddlers, and they held a “head-shaving party” to support their mom as she prepared for breast cancer treatment. Five years ago, her cancer returned and has since spread to her lungs, bones, and brain – making her journey as a mother of two and former corporate executive a daily challenge.
Despite the obstacles living with metastatic breast cancer, Emma recently celebrated a milestone she had been dreaming of for years: college drop-off day for her son, Peter.
“I didn’t know I would make it,” Emma says. “Life is made up of the moments that matter. I am so lucky to be here.”
Her story is a moving reminder of resilience, love, and the moments that make life meaningful.
