Is it worth the 700km DETOUR? Off-Road Track to Purnululu National Park - Bungle Bungles (Eps.34)

Описание: Exploring Purnululu National Park: The Iconic Bungle Bungles 🌅
This week, we head into the stunning Purnululu National Park, home to the unique Bungle Bungles! Initially, we almost skipped it due to the detour, but visiting friends working in the area gave us the perfect excuse to explore this incredible destination.

Getting There:
The journey along Spring Creek Track is an adventure itself! With winding gravel roads, creek crossings, and massive corrugations, it’s a fun (and bumpy) drive—just take it slow and enjoy the scenery.

Highlights:
🌴 Mini Palms Walk: Our favorite hike! Narrow gorges, towering red cliffs, and lush palm trees create a breathtaking view that even surpassed Pat’s previous favorite, Carnarvon Gorge.
🌅 Sunrise at the Domes: Waking up early to see the sun illuminate these iconic formations was absolutely worth the effort. The road in is tricky in the dark, so drive carefully.
🏞️ Incredible Landscape: From unique rock formations to peaceful hikes, every corner of this park is awe-inspiring.

What We Learned:
Hiking early in the morning is a must during the hot season (30°C at sunrise is still better than 40°C midday!).
Drone permits for commercial creators are costly, but the views from above must be mind-blowing—imagine sunrise over grey expedition trucks and domes!
Tips for Your Visit:

Plan to stay a few days and try as many hikes as you can. Each one offers something unique!
Check road conditions before heading in; creek crossings can get deep after rain.
