Welcome to the former site of the "Officers' Moral Endeavor Association" (Lizhishe) in Nanjing. Built in the 1920s, this stunning complex—featuring traditional Chinese roofs on Western-style bodies—was once Chiang Kai-shek's exclusive private club for high-ranking officials and foreign diplomats.
However, its most significant moment came after WWII. In 1946, this very place was turned into the Nanjing War Crimes Tribunal, where Japanese war criminals (including those responsible for the Nanjing Massacre) were tried and sentenced.
