Описание: Fresh from their medal winning campaign at Tokyo, Aussie Paralympic stars Carol Cooke (para-cycling), Heath Davidson (wheelchair tennis), Jaryd Clifford (distance running) & Col Pearse (swimming) join us for a conversation and Q&A on their successes, challenges, and how their experiences can help guide us at the grassroots level to allow the next generation to thrive.

Three-time Paralympian Carol Cooke has represented Australia in Para-cycling, where she won three gold medals at London and Rio. In the recent Tokyo Paralympics she medalled for a fourth time, bringing home a silver medal in the women’s time trial T1-2 category. Since her diagnosis with multiple sclerosis in 1998, she has become an ambassador for others dealing with the disease and continues to be a beacon of resilience and determination.

Dual Paralympian Heath Davidson has scaled the heights of international wheelchair tennis, from a career-high singles ranking of 4th in the world in 2018, to winning doubles gold at the Rio Paralympics and becoming a four-time consecutive Australian Open doubles champion with his trusty partner Dylan Alcott. The pair won silver in the quad doubles at the recent Tokyo Games.

Jaryd Clifford is an athlete with low vision, known for his world class performances in 1500m and 5000m distance running. At the Tokyo Paralympics, Jaryd also added the marathon to his repertoire, and proudly won three medals. Find out how Jaryd become involved in running and learn about his pathway to the Paralympics.

Eighteen year-old Paralympic swimmer Col Pearse talks about the influence of the learn to swim program as a child, making his first Australian swim team in 2019, how Ellie Cole helped him set his path to the Paralympics and achieving a bronze medal at the Tokyo games – all while balancing Year 12 studies.
