🚗 Route: San Martín → Jamay (via south Chapala towns)
1️⃣ San Martín Hidalgo
Starting town in western Jalisco with agricultural areas and traditional plazas. From here the road heads toward the Chapala Lake region.
2️⃣ San Luis Soyatlán
A lakeside town in the municipality of Tuxcueca located on the south shore of Lake Chapala, about 45 minutes from Guadalajara. It is known for fishing traditions and views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
3️⃣ Tuxcueca
A small municipality along the lake with rural communities and fishing activities. The area is part of the scenic southern Chapala shoreline.
4️⃣ Tizapán el Alto (nearby on this route)
A lakeside town known for local markets, traditional restaurants, and views of the Sierra del Tigre mountains. It combines lake tourism with agriculture
5️⃣ La Barca
A larger town east of Lake Chapala and an important road connection point between Jalisco and Michoacán.
6️⃣ Destination: Jamay
A historic municipality near the eastern side of Lake Chapala, located about 1,530 m above sea level, known for its central plaza and monument to Pope Pius IX.
