Seiji Yokoyama manages to unite classic Europe with the heavy metal that took over in the 70's and would rule in the 80's. M-61 is heard when Ikki performs at the Galactic Tournament, which highlights his distorted guitar improvisation and bass line. It begins with a synthesizer and violin introduction. M-63 is a strophic piece that functions as a bridge between M-61 and M-64. Lastly, M-64 is a strophic piece that defines Saint Seiya's style of battle music. It begins with the strings interpreting a musical idea that becomes an ostinato in the bass, likewise, the ascending melodic lines of the violin and the wind section with rhythmic cells, give a great feeling of battle and tension.
