In this video, I'm trying 3 different mini synths, 2 analog ones and 1 virtual analog (Roland ACB) over a basic techno pattern for a quick synth battle:
Behringer JT Mini
Behringer JT-4000 M
Roland J-6
There is no particular matching in the sound they produce. I mostly tweaked sawtooth waveform and played with the filter for each of the synth trying to express their synth grain. I use a Roland MX-1 AIRA Mixer and muted and unmuted the synths in alternans. At the end of the video I stacked them all together.
There is a bit of stock reverb coming from the MX-1 and a little bit of the Roland J-6's own delay but no further processing. The drums and bass/lead patterns comes from are the Korg Electribe MX which drives a Roland TR-6S Rhythm Performer for the drum sounds and trigger the synths via MIDI.
