Heated Steering Wheel
The heated steering wheel system is designed to operate only when the surface temperature of the steering wheel is cooler than 68 degrees. If the surface temperature of the steering wheel is above 68 degrees when the switch is turned on, the system will not heat the steering wheel. This is not a malfunction.
To warm the steering wheel your ignition switch must be in the ON position. Push the heated steering wheel switch located on the lower instrument panel, left of the steering wheel. The indicator light will come on. Push the switch again to manually turn off the heated steering wheel. The indicator light will turn off.
If the surface temperature of the steering wheel is below 68 degrees, the system will heat the steering wheel to approximately 86 degrees.
The system will automatically turn off after 30 minutes of operation.
