Description: In this video, we will see how to configure tls 1.2 setting in Exchange Server 2019, this video demonstrates how to configure tls 1.2 in Exchange Server 2019 with best practices.

Microsoft recommends enabling tls 1.2 in exchange server 2019 to function securely.

Though tls 1.3 is newer still we need to disable it for exchange 2019 because it may cause issues when enabled.

To enable tls 1.2 first, we will run the exchange server health checker script i.e. healthchecker.ps1 script to see the status of our tls 1.2 settings and .net tls settings.

We will see by default the registry values are not defined without setting it, Once we run the set-tls1.2 script, it will define the registry value to 1 and will also remove the errors with the red boxes.

This is the best practice to set the tls 1.2 in the exchange server, that Microsoft recommends.

I assure you that, after watching this video completely, you will be able to set the tls 1.2 on your Exchange Server 2019.

Note: Make sure you run this script on the Exchange Server 2013 CU 20 or later, Exchange Server 2016 CU 9 or later, and Exchange Server 2019

For best practice, make sure your Exchange Server is updated to the latest CU and SU.
