Описание: Macedonian folk song from Darnakohoria Kyparissi mou psilo Greek traditional music.
The cultural association of people descending from the village of Agio Pnevma in Serres that live in Thessaloniki released last year two CDs with traditional songs of the Darnakohoria region in Serres.The songs are performed by the choir of the association and i think they deserve a great bravo for their effort.The lyrics of the songs are mainly in the local dialect (even though in many instances standard Greek is used as well and i guess this happens because it was more suitable for maintaining the meter),so i provide a "translation" of the most unintelligible to a standard Greek speaker words and expressions.

*βρόχια/vrochia=a kind of noose that was used as trap for birds
*τσιαμ τσιακίζ'/tsiam tsiakiz'=a hardly translatable mixed Greco-Turkish term.τσιαμ/tsiam=pine tree in Turkish,τσακίζω/tsakizo =break in Greek,so "tsiam tsakiz" probably means "pine tree leaves" or "pine tree corns"
