Somehow, we crammed Bay Area roots music band Front Country into the Fretboard Journal’s tiny studio. The result? Their beautiful take on Sarah Siskind’s “Lovin’s for Fools” from their forthcoming album, Sake of the Sound. Front Country has won numerous accolades and band competitions (including Telluride and Rockygrass). Listening to this tune, we could understand why. They somehow strike that perfect blend of soaring vocals, impressive bluegrass playing and interesting song choices.
Instruments heard on this track: A 2007 Martin D-18 Authentic, 2009 Martin D-18SS, Stelling banjo, a Collings MF mandolin and a 1963 Giuseppe Pellacani violin.
