DIY Mask Decoration - Dragon Eye

Описание: In this video, I will be decorating two plain white N95s and one plain white KN95 to have a dragon eye design. In this video, permanent markers from both Dollar Tree and Amazon Basics are used, though any brand will work. Crayons are Crayola brand, though again, any brand will work. Although not pictured, colored pencils also work, and non-permanent markers may work as well, though some may smear.

Follow-up testing has indicated that markers in general are safe, though if the alcohol carrying the ink soaks through the layers of the mask, the electrostatic filtration may be damaged. This is very concerning for masks that do not have a protective outer layer like the readimask. However for the 3M Aura, the outer layer is designed to withstand much harsher situations than marker.

No decoration of any kind will be NIOSH or OSHA approved, these should be done at your own risk, and ideally, fit-tested after doing.

Inhaling marker fumes can also be dangerous, and extremely unpleasant for some people. Again, do at your own risk.

Respirator masks like these help prevent the spread of airborne pathogens, as well as provide protection from dust, pollen, and more. Often though, they are only available in white, or those that aren't, don't fit. Fit tested is best!
