Singapore’s first pure electric ferry: Electric Dream

Описание: Singapore’s first fully electric ferry fleet, “Electric Dream,” powered by Danfoss Drives, has set a benchmark for zero-emission marine transport, eliminating over 6,000 tonnes of CO2 annually, made possible by a partnership between leading industry players such as Penguin International Limited, Razor Blunt Labs, Incat Crowther UK, and IT solutions partner GEMA Engineering.

Unlike conventional electric vehicle charging, Electric Dream's high-voltage rapid DC shore charger, installed at Pulau Bukom Ferry Terminal, is a bespoke solution provided by Danfoss that enables each electric ferry to cruise at 21 knots across 3 nm (nautical miles) and recharge in 6 minutes.

The electric propulsion system and grid converter for shore charging feature various Danfoss solutions such as VACON® NXP liquid cooled system, heat exchangers and sensors.
