If you’re anywhere near Alsace, Strasbourg is the perfect day trip or weekend destination.
This was our 3rd time here together over the winter holidays but our first time post-Christmas which tbh…I kind of prefer. It’s still crowded but not as chaotic as when the Christmas markets are still going.
I like to come for a little taste of France, bring a French-speaker and a lover of French culture. Galéries Lafayette is a must pit stop for shopping but of course being unemployed, my budget has since changed and I left empty handed.
It’s a walkable city with a lot of charm and the decorations are unmatched during the holidays.
My one piece of advice is to not fall for the hype at Atelier 116, maybe the bread is good but the line is not worth it. For once, I had a super mid pain au chocolat and typically coming from France, it usually never misses. But at least I tried it so you don’t have to.
