🔌 Verification of Tellegen’s Theorem Using Multisim
In this video, Tellegen’s Theorem is verified using NI Multisim simulation software. Tellegen’s theorem states that in any electrical network obeying Kirchhoff’s laws, the algebraic sum of power in all elements is zero at any instant.
The circuit is designed in Multisim using a DC source and resistive elements. Voltages across each component and currents through them are measured using virtual instruments. The power supplied by the source and the power absorbed by the resistors are calculated using the formula:
P = V × I
The results obtained from the Multisim simulation show that the total power supplied is equal to the total power absorbed, thereby verifying Tellegen’s theorem. This simulation-based approach helps in better visualization and understanding of power balance in electrical networks.
