⚡ Why the Right Foot?
In Tantric śāstra, the right side (dakṣiṇa) is auspicious, associated with śānti (peace), dayā (compassion), and vara-pradāna (granting of boons). Thus, Dakṣiṇā Kāli, unlike her left-footed counterpart (associated with Vāmācāra, fierce rituals), embodies the benevolent Mother who blesses, protects, and liberates (mokṣa-pradāyinī).

Dakṣiṇā = “right side,” “south,” and also “sacred gift offered to the Guru.”

She is the initiating power who grants the ultimate dakṣiṇā—freedom from saṃsāra.
