For my Year 12 Physics and Engineering Students, in preparation for their GoKarting excursion.
This video shows an approach to iterative problem solving using Excel (for calculations) and Powerpoint (for simple mapping) to analyse the racing line for a gokart track corner.
For the purists: Yes, I have made a bunch of assumptions and simplifications to keep the Maths relatively simple and accessible for all of my students. Nevertheless, I think the analysis is pretty effective, and actually gives a reasonable comparison of different racing lines.
