In this episode we take you through weeks of preparing Puy Vidal for our very our first creative retreat called "Painting France" which took place in mid-September 2022. We prepare 5 guest bedrooms with bathrooms, create an oil painting studio, furnish outdoor and indoor dining spaces, and clean and polish the Chateau from top to bottom- all in a 12 week period!

Hosting this 7-day all-inclusive oil painting retreat was by far the most challenging goals we could have taken on in our first year in France. We had committed ourselves to delivering the best possible experience for our retreat guests who trusted us with their big international trip since COVID began. What transpired was a magical week filled with twists and turns that inspired and transformed not only Puy Vidal but us as well.

Chateau de Puy Vidal is a medieval fortress turned renaissance Castle, and is located in the Charente region of Nouvelle Aquitaine, France.
