Agnes Stewart Middle School's New Raku Kiln

Описание: Nathan White, Innovative Educator Grant recipient, is bringing the art of traditional Japanese pottery to life at Agnes Stewart Middle School with a raku kiln! Unlike traditional ceramic firing, raku pottery is an exciting, fast-paced process where red-hot pieces are pulled from the kiln and cooled with combustible materials, creating stunning and unpredictable finishes. Students will get hands-on experience crafting bowls, cups, and vases, experimenting with unique coloring techniques, and immersing themselves in this centuries-old art form. This kiln will spark creativity for years to come!
