An afternoon hike from Harrietville to Federation Hut for an overnight camp. Then an ascent of Mount Feathertop and return to Harrietville the next day.
Hot conditions (and lack of training) led to a change of plans, which were to ascend Feathertop before the camp, and complete a longer return circuit the next day.
Instead a simple return trip was undertaken.
